Our Process

Design & Engineering

  1. Identify engineering cost savings that do not impact quality or deadlines.
  2. Conduct a feasibility study on target property.
  3. Identify the site’s civil engineering permits and zoning requirements.
  4. Translate customer requirements into the building size, shape and required materials.

Site Preparation

  1. Quality control is overseen by both the Teton Buildings in-house quality team and licensed third party inspectors.
  2. Foundation preparation and preliminary utility work can take place on-site while buildings are in production.

Off-Site Modular Construction

  1. Manufacturing facilities in North and South America mean flexibility and efficiency in meeting end user requirements. Multiple projects can be in production at the same time and indoor facilities eliminate weather delays and damage.
  2. Our Lean Manufacturing process reduces building material wastes and therefore drives down cost.

Building Installation

  1. Schedule and track timelines to identify critical paths for optimal project performance.
  2. Deliver modular buildings in sections from production plant to site within 1-2 days of travel time.
  3. Position modular sections onto foundation by crane or truck. Join sections seamlessly together.
  4. Connect utility and telecom infrastructure to buildings.
  5. Install sidewalks, landscaping, parking and signage outside while furniture and communications are completed inside.

Our Green Construction

Why Green Construction?

Green building is the practice of maximizing the efficiency with which buildings use resources–energy, water, and materials–while reducing their impact on the local environment. In modular building construction, this is accomplished through environmentally sensitive practices throughout a building’s complete life cycle: site choice, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal. A well-planned green modular building will:
  • Reduce operating costs by using less energy and water
  • Improve public and occupant health through improved indoor air quality
  • Reduce environmental impacts by lessening storm water runoff and the “heat island” effect

Advantage of Green Construction

Modular building construction is inherently green because it is more sustainable than traditional construction practices due to:
  • Minimal waste due to precise material accounting, measurement, and recycling
  • Reduced environmental pollutants from transportation and construction materials
  • Shorter build time and minimal site disruption
  • If desired, buildings can be designed and engineered to be reused and re-purposed indefinitely.

LEED® Certified Projects

Teton Buildings aims to lead the industry in providing LEED® certified modular products. Modular construction offers a unique opportunity to combine sustainable practices with cost-efficient materials that are responsive to today’s demand for healthier buildings. We have access to LEED® accredited professionals to work with you to identify and incorporate those elements needed by your project to meet LEED® certification requirements in the following areas:
  • Energy and atmosphere
  • Materials and resources
  • Indoor environmental quality
  • Innovation and design
  • Regional priority

For customers interested in maximizing the green impact of their modular buildings, Teton Buildings provides accredited LEED professionals to consult on its projects. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED gives building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their building’s performance. LEED promotes a whole-project approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.

Off-site Modular Construction

  • Modular Solutions — Whether you are building a pipeline, a processing plant or a monitoring station, Teton Buildings can provide solutions for your workers living and working needs: permanent, temporary or mobile.
  • Any Size, Any Shape — Our modular buildings can be connected to create spaces in any size or shape — and easily reconfigured for changing needs.
  • Custom Buildings Done Right Away Even if you require customized solutions, our Design-Build team will work with you to design your individualized solution that will be operational forty to fifty percent faster than conventional construction.
  • Need for Speed — We recognize your need for quick implementation to put your accommodations on the ground ASAP. Using “off-site modular construction” we simultaneously manufacture your buildings while preparing your site, thus accelerating construction timelines and reducing environmental disruption.
  • Modular was Green before Green was Cool — off-site modular construction is an environmentally-conscious construction choice. Modular construction is inherently more sustainable than traditional construction practices due to more efficient processes and material usage by building in a factory setting. These features also drive down the total cost of our buildings.
